THE THREE R’s OF BEING A TAILGATE HOST
1. What You’ll RECEIVE
Park Chapel will provide each Tailgate Host with:
Hamburgers and/or hot dogs to serve approximately 60–75 people
Hamburger/hot dog buns
Individual condiment packets
Serving table
Plates
Napkins
Access to electrical power, if requested
Your designated tailgate location
Serving Gloves
We'll have approximately 1,200 hamburgers and 250 hot dogs ready to distribute among our Tailgate Hosts.
2. What You’re RESPONSIBLE For
This is where you get to make your tailgate your own!
Each Tailgate Host is responsible for providing:
Your own grill/griddle
o Please make sure your grill/griddle has enough capacity to prepare approximately 60–75 entrées during the serving window
Propane, charcoal, or other necessary fuel
Grilling utensils
Coolers, if needed
Food-safe gloves and serving utensils
Decorations for your tailgate area
One Tailgate Specialty to serve approximately 40–60 people
Your Tailgate Specialty can be something you love making or something that makes your site unique.
Think:
Wings • Chili • Smoked Sausage • BBQ • Mac & Cheese • Loaded Nachos • Buffalo Chicken Dip •
Baked Beans • Walking Tacos • Cookies • Brownies • Cupcakes • Rice Krispie Treats • Specialty
Desserts • or your famous family recipe!
It doesn't have to be elaborate. We just want every tailgate to have a little personality.
3. What We RECOMMEND
Help make your tailgate a place where people want to hang out!
Consider bringing:
Pop-up canopy/tent
Lawn chairs
Tailgate decorations
Team flags/banners
Cornhole
Ladder Toss/Hillbilly Golf
Giant Jenga
Yard games
Large chess/checkers
TV to watch college football
Anything else that creates a fun tailgate atmosphere
Want to bring a TV? Let us know on the registration form. Park Chapel will provide access to power where possible. You’ll be responsible for the TV, streaming device/service, extension cords, etc.
