We’re throwing a giant tailgate - and we want you to be part of it!

As part of Park Chapel’s 40th Anniversary Celebration, we’re creating a church-wide tailgate experiencefor our church family, friends, and community.

We’re looking for 15–20 Tailgate Captains who are ready to fire up the grill, create a great tailgate atmosphere, and help us feed approximately 800 - 1,000 people.

There will be two windows of serving – 11:00 AM (200-250 people) and 11:45 AM (600+).

You bring the grill, personality, and your tailgate specialty. We’ll bring the meat!
THE THREE R’s OF BEING A TAILGATE HOST

1. What You’ll RECEIVE

Park Chapel will provide each Tailgate Host with:

 Hamburgers and/or hot dogs to serve approximately 60–75 people

 Hamburger/hot dog buns

 Individual condiment packets

 Serving table

 Plates

 Napkins

 Access to electrical power, if requested

 Your designated tailgate location

 Serving Gloves

We'll have approximately 1,200 hamburgers and 250 hot dogs ready to distribute among our Tailgate Hosts.

2. What You’re RESPONSIBLE For

This is where you get to make your tailgate your own!

Each Tailgate Host is responsible for providing:

 Your own grill/griddle

o Please make sure your grill/griddle has enough capacity to prepare approximately 60–75 entrées during the serving window

 Propane, charcoal, or other necessary fuel

 Grilling utensils

 Coolers, if needed

 Food-safe gloves and serving utensils

 Decorations for your tailgate area

 One Tailgate Specialty to serve approximately 40–60 people

Your Tailgate Specialty can be something you love making or something that makes your site unique.

Think:

Wings • Chili • Smoked Sausage • BBQ • Mac & Cheese • Loaded Nachos • Buffalo Chicken Dip •

Baked Beans • Walking Tacos • Cookies • Brownies • Cupcakes • Rice Krispie Treats • Specialty

Desserts • or your famous family recipe!

It doesn't have to be elaborate. We just want every tailgate to have a little personality.

3. What We RECOMMEND

Help make your tailgate a place where people want to hang out!

Consider bringing:

 Pop-up canopy/tent

 Lawn chairs

 Tailgate decorations

 Team flags/banners

 Cornhole

 Ladder Toss/Hillbilly Golf

 Giant Jenga

 Yard games

 Large chess/checkers

 TV to watch college football

 Anything else that creates a fun tailgate atmosphere

Want to bring a TV? Let us know on the registration form. Park Chapel will provide access to power where possible. You’ll be responsible for the TV, streaming device/service, extension cords, etc.
